Three fluids, a belt, a schedule and a record for your file. The service your dealer does, without the dealer.
Most Harley-Davidson models carry three separate fluids: engine oil, primary and transmission. The three-hole oil change uses the correct fluid in each, a new filter, and a torque wrench on the drain plugs. Indian Thunderstroke, PowerPlus and Scout engines, and metric cruisers, have their own fluids and intervals, and we follow the factory book for each one.
Scheduled service covers the 1,000-mile break-in service and the 5,000, 10,000 and 20,000-mile intervals: drive belt tension and condition, compensator and primary chain on the platforms that have one, brake fluid, clutch adjustment, valve adjustment where applicable, coolant flush on liquid-cooled and Twin-Cooled engines, spark plugs, air filter, fasteners and a road test.
You get the inspection items written down, the fluids noted, and an honest list of what is due next and what can wait.

Questions
Factory-schedule service with the correct parts and fluids, documented, is generally accepted, but ask your dealer how it treats independent service. We give you the record either way.
The fluid the factory specifies for the engine, primary and transmission, with a synthetic option where the platform allows it. We will tell you what went in.
Usually same day. Services that turn up a belt, brake or compensator issue get quoted before the extra work happens.
